So Many Supplements, So Little Time.

Navigating the world of supplements can feel like an overwhelming task. With countless options on the market, each promising miraculous health benefits, it's easy to get lost in the sea of pills and powders. However, if I had to narrow it down to just three essential supplements, I would choose magnesium, black seed oil, and trace minerals as my big three. These three not only offer a broad range of health benefits but also address common deficiencies and support overall well-being.

Magnesium is often referred to as the "miracle mineral" due to its crucial role in over 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It supports muscle and nerve function, regulates blood sugar levels, and promotes a healthy heart. Many people are deficient in magnesium due to poor dietary habits and soil depletion. Supplementing with magnesium can help alleviate symptoms of anxiety, improve sleep quality, and reduce muscle cramps. Its versatility and fundamental role in maintaining bodily functions make it an indispensable supplement.

I take two droppers of Magnesium every night before bed. I recently forgot to take it one night and woke up the next morning slightly groggy. Noted not to forget to take it again! Below is the one I use myself, which you can also find on amazon.

Liquid Ionic Magnesium

Black seed oil, derived from the seeds of Nigella sativa, has been used for centuries for its potent medicinal properties. There is actually a quote that says black seed oil cures everything but death. This oil has been crucial in my own healing journey. I do not go a day without it. This powerful oil boasts anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-boosting effects. It's particularly effective in supporting respiratory health, reducing allergies, and promoting healthy skin and hair. Black seed oil's broad spectrum of benefits comes from its rich content of thymoquinone, an active compound known for its therapeutic properties. Incorporating black seed oil into your daily regimen can help bolster your immune system and contribute to overall vitality.

This is the black seed oil I take is one of the best on the market by Meraki Medicinal which you can find below.

High Potency Organic Black Seed Oil

I do want to note, this tends to sell out rather quickly and is a limited supply. I do have another brand that is my go-to if Meraki’s isn’t available. It’s available on Amazon here and usually in store at The Vitamin Shoppe. I currently have a bottle of both of these in my bathroom cabinet. I take it every morning after I brush my teeth and every night before I go to bed. It doesn’t taste great, but at this point I take shots of it.

Trace minerals are essential micronutrients that our bodies need in small amounts to function optimally. They include elements like zinc, selenium, and iodine, which play vital roles in maintaining a healthy immune system, supporting thyroid function, and facilitating enzyme reactions. Modern diets often lack these crucial minerals due to intensive farming practices and food processing methods. Our soil and water are depleted of our essential minerals. Supplementing with trace minerals can help fill these nutritional gaps, ensuring your body gets the nutrients it needs to thrive. By maintaining adequate levels of trace minerals, you support everything from energy production to cognitive function.

This is my go-to choice for trace minerals. I put about 20 drops in my water every morning.

ConcenTrace® Trace Mineral Drops

These supplements are the ones I don’t go a day without. My big 3!
